LEBANON, Ore. - Lebanon Fire Chief Joseph Rodondi is retiring after a remarkable 40-year career in the fire service, according to Lebanon Fire District officials.

The Lebanon Fire District Board of Directors has appointed Division Chief John Tacy as his successor, starting November 2025.

Rodondi's journey began in 1983, and he quickly fell in love with the fire service.

"I immediately fell in love with the fire service culture—what they do for the community, how they keep people safe, and the sense of purpose that comes with it," Rodondi said.

Since joining the Lebanon Fire District in 2019, Rodondi has led the organization through significant challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
