Nissan and Chevrolet have recalled more than 173,000 vehicles because of a fuel pump issue that can lead to an engine stall and therefore increases the risk of a crash.
The automakers estimate that less than 5% of the recalled vehicles will have the defect, but customers should take any recalled vehicle to a dealer for a free inspection and, if needed, free repair.
