A man dashed into a pub, exclaiming "two kids have been stabbed outside" after a 15 year old lad was stabbed 11 times. ‌

The boy's girlfriend, just 14 years old, was also knifed in the chest during the incident near the Johnny Todd pub on Whitefield Drive in Kirkby. ‌

Another 15 year old lad, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, is currently s tanding trial at Liverpool Crown Court , facing charges including attempted murder. The altercation, which took place on the evening of 30 April this year, is believed to have been in retaliation for an earlier confrontation that resulted in one of the defendant's mates suffering a head injury after being hit with a metal pole. ‌
