CLEVELAND, Ohio -- As the Halloween spirit grips Cleveland and the rest of the world, many are turning down the lights and watching horror movies.

But did you know that plenty of creatives in the city are making their own frightful flicks?

Lacking Hollywood-sized budgets for their bloody epics, many local directors are charging ahead anyway, driven by a passion to become this generation’s next great horror auteurs.

From blood-splattered warehouse sets to eerie suburban basements, Cleveland’s indie horror moviemakers are finding the macabre in the most ordinary places.

Andrew Golucki is heavily involved in horror movie making around Cleveland and is currently in post-production for a horror short he wrote, produced and directed titled “Swiped.”
