CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A portion of a major Cedar Rapids road is closed until next week for water main repair work.

The City of Cedar Rapids closed Ellis Boulevard NW from the north park entrance to 16th Street.

The city says the work could take up to five days to complete.

During construction, all home access from 16th Street will be routed through Zika Avenue NW. A detour will be posted.
