FOXBOROUGH — Kayshon Boutte has always flashed potential, and in his third season, the Patriots wide receiver is realizing it more consistently.
The 23-year-old wideout had a pair of touchdown catches in last week’s win over the Titans. Six games in, Boutte has caught 78% of his targets, racking up 18 receptions for 301 yards, all of which are on pace to eclipse career highs.
At his locker on Thursday afternoon, Boutte pointed to the chemistry he’s developed with Drake Maye as a catalyst for the breakout season.
“That’s an important thing for a receiver, just to have a connection with the quarterback — I think that’s the most important," Boutte said. “It all goes back to practice... that’s something we’ve been working on, so big shoutout to both of us.
