IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Former Iowa safety and current high school football coach Marcus Paschal will be the honorary captain when the Hawkeyes host Penn State Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
Paschal, a native of Largo, Florida, played for the Hawkeyes from 2003 to 2006. He was a safety and finished his career with 199 tackles, three interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and 17 pass break-ups.
Iowa reached a bowl in all four of Paschal’ seasons in black and gold.
Paschal signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007, also spending time with Atlanta, Indianapolis and Baltimore.
He has served as head football coach at his alma mater, Largo High School, since 2014.
