Donald Trump said that he would hold fresh face-to-face talks with Vladimir Putin in an effort to end the war in Ukraine , following a phone call between the two leaders ahead of the US President’s meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky today (16 October).

A date has not been set, but Trump wrote on social media that the meeting would take place in Budapest.
