(Gray News) - Ace Frehley, the lead guitarist for the rock band KISS, has died at the age of 74.

According to multiple reports, Frehley died following injuries suffered during a fall that occurred last month.

Variety reports that Frehley’s loved ones confirmed his death on Thursday through a family statement.

“We are completely devastated and heartbroken,” the shared statement read. “In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth.
