AUSTIN (KXAN) — This isn't a trick! KXAN has a special treat for you this Halloween: a compilation of events and festivities happening around the city to make your holiday spook-tacular.

For horror film junkies: Panic at the Paramount

The Paramount Theatre will show six classic horror and thriller films through the end of the month and into November.

The theater, which calls itself "one of Austin's oldest haunts," will bring in special guests for Q&As and host live music performances as part of the film series.

One of the screenings, "The Evil Dead," will be accompanied by a live orchestra that will perform composer Joe LoDuca's iconic score as the film plays.
