ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — Thousands of Rockford Public School students gathered at the Indoor Sports Center to explore potential career paths and high school programs at the 14th Annual Academy Expo.

The event provided high school freshmen and younger students the opportunity to engage with local businesses and explore various career opportunities in the region.

Students learned about careers in fields ranging from medicine and therapy to forest preservation. The expo aims to help students identify their future interests and choose their high school academy accordingly.
