FARGO — People across the country are planning another “No Kings” protest, with thousands in the Fargo-Moorhead area expected to join them.
The last “No Kings” protest was in June, when demonstrators gathered outside Fargo City Hall to speak out against President Donald Trump’s administration and its policies.
An expert with the American Civil Liberties Union said protestors should remind themselves of their First Amendment rights and know how to safely react if confronted by law enforcement.
"It's important to remember that you should not escalate a situation, so to remain calm, to ask questions if the other person is ... or if the law enforcement or someone is trying to escalate things, to try and remain as calm as possible," said Cody Schuler, advocacy manager with the ACLU.
