KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Travelers flying in and out of KCI Airport will now pass through the “Harry S. Truman Terminal.”

The Kansas City Council approved a plan to name the terminal at Kansas City’s main airport in honor of the 33rd President of the United States.

The honor is due to Truman’s “profound impact on the local community and the global stage” while also advocating for his hometown of Independence, Mo.
