TYLER, Texas (KETK) -- East Texas is now two days away from the 92nd Texas Rose Festival Parade, but festivities are already starting to bloom in Tyler. Thursday started the 92nd Texas Rose Festival at the Tyler Rose Garden for this year's formal ribbon cutting.

"It’s been a year of hard work and a long process so I’m so excited it’s finally here and to see how it all looks," Texas Rose Queen Avery Armstrong said.

Inside the event, guests were captivated by the beautiful library display made with Tyler-grown roses from 'Flowers by Dylan', fully bringing to life this years 'Tapestry of Tales' theme.

Remarks were made by Rose Festival President, Michael Youn, followed by a prayer from Michael Gossett with Green Acres Baptist Church.
