HOUSTON — The co-owner of Houston's once-popular Turkey Leg Hut appeared in court Friday morning after her arrest in a case involving her ex-boyfriend.

Nakia Holmes was arrested on Wednesday on a felony charge of hindering the apprehension of an aggravated kidnapping suspect named Johnathan Saizon, according to court documents.

Saizon, Holmes' former boyfriend, was arrested last week after his ex-girlfriend said he beat her with a tire iron and held her against her will. The woman told investigators with the Precinct 7 Constable's Office that Saizon came to her house to pick up some shoes. She said he assaulted her and forced her to get into his vehicle. The woman said Saizon punched her in the face repeatedly and then attacked her with a tire iron. She told deputies that he held her
