AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) - The South Carolina Legislature recently approved $8.2 million to upgrade the University of South Carolina Aiken's Science and Engineering building’s infrastructure, USCA announced Thursday.
According to a press release on Oct. 16, the upgrades, when made, will offer more hands-on-learning opportunities and enhance collaboration between USCA and regional partners.
The investment will increase the working space in the Science and Engineering building by almost 5,000 square feet.
According to the school, the enhancements to the building will include three additional wet lab spaces, known as the External Collaborative Applied Research Center (ECARC).
