FAIRLEE, Vt. (WVNY/WFFF) - Governor Phil Scott was in Fairlee, Wednesday to announce a statewide, multi-million-dollar improvement project, called the Downtown and Village Center Tax Credit program.
The state is allocating just over $3.3 million to fund the more than 30 projects in about 20 communities across Vermont.
The tax incentive program is expected to generate close to 70 million dollars in public infrastructure and nearly 70 units of housing within existing underutilized and vacant buildings.
