LONGVIEW Wash. (KPTV) - A group of teens and preteens in the Mint Valley area of Longview are facing charges after the burglary and vandalism of a school and golf course in June, the Longview Police Department announced on Wednesday.
According to police, 11 children ranging in age from 12 to 16 have been charged with burglary, theft, and property damage for incidents at the Mint Valley Elementary School and Mint Valley Golf Course.
The investigation started early on the morning of June 26, when officers responded to Mint Valley Elementary after the report of a burglary. They found “extensive damage” to school property, including broken computers, discharged fire extinguishers, and stolen food items, police said.
