MONTPELIER, VT (WVNY/WFFF) - Montpelier is still searching for a new city manager this as officials are sifting through hundreds of survey responses.

The city held another public forum Wednesday, hearing what people say they would expect from their next city manager.

In September, the city released a questionnaire, asking for certain qualities and leadership styles. A hiring consultant says the city received nearly 200 survey responses, with some of the top concerns being housing, homelessness, budgeting, and public safety.

"Collaboration, consensus, communication, engagement. All of those things around the external relations and internal frankly, relations with staff. How to engage more proactively and effectively with a very civically active resident base," says Coyle.
