MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) - Local law enforcement agencies responded to an incident in Mount Pleasant Thursday night.
Officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to a home on Enfield Lane near Six Mile Road around 8:28 p.m. for a reported burglary, the department said.
When the officers arrived, they heard gunfire coming from inside the home. Police entered the home and secured the person, identified as the complainant, before finding a gun inside the house.
Law enforcement searched the home and determined that no other individuals were inside and no threats were present.
No injuries were reported from the situation. A MPPD spokesperson said there is no danger to the public.
