MILLVILLE – While the chill in the October air is a clear sign that postseason football is right around the corner, it’s the perfect time for the Orange and Blue Gang to start heating up.

The Millville High School football team put together one of its best performances of the season during a 55-28 triumph over Cherokee at Wheaton Field’s John Barbose Stadium on Thursday night.

After a 1-4 start, the Thunderbolts have won two in a row and appear to be back on track as they start their sectional title defense in two weeks.

“We learned from the mistakes that we had with our slow start, then you flush it and continue to grow,” senior Aiden Dawkins said. “That’s just what we do.”
