MILWAUKEE, Wisc. --- Former UNI men's basketball guard AJ Green has agreed to a new four-year, $45 million contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks, as confirmed by ProMondo Sports and ESPN on Thursday.

The Cedar Falls native and former Panther standout, who has been a part of the Bucks organization since the 2022-23 season, will now be under contract with Milwaukee through the 2029-30 NBA season. Green was scheduled to become a free agent at the end of the coming season.

Entering his fourth season in the NBA, Green has appeared in 164 games for the Bucks, averaging 5.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and one assist per game while shooting 42.7% from the field and 42.1% from three-point range. Green's role with Milwaukee has grown over the last three years, having played a career-high 73 games
