TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An armed robbery prompted a large police presence in Ybor City Thursday night as officers set up a perimeter to look for the suspect.

The robbery happened at a store on East Columbus Drive and North 22nd Street, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Police tape could be seen in front of smoke shop in the area, and several police vehicles remained stationed around the building Thursday night with their lights flashing.

A K-9 patrol car was also spotted in the area.

Authorities said the suspect was still on the loose as of 10:30 p.m.

No further information was immediately available.
