LAFAYETTE, LA. (KLFY) -- Dozens of cyclists gathered for the 8th annual Mickey Shunick Memorial Loop Ride in Lafayette, honoring the memory of the 21-year-old UL Lafayette student killed in 2012.

The ride serves not only as a tribute to Mickey Shunick but also as a reminder of the importance of biking safety and infrastructure in Lafayette. Participants come together to remember Shunick and other cyclists who have lost their lives in accidents.
