COLUMBIA, S.C. — As we move into the weekend, the weather in the Midlands is set to bring a shift, bringing cooler mornings and clear skies, perfect for outdoor activities.

Skies will be clear tonight leading to a crisp Friday morning. Low temperatures will fall to the upper 40's across the Midlands. This cool start to the day will be followed by a warmer afternoon, with sunshine raising high temperatures into the low to mid 70's. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with overnight lows falling into the low 50's to start the day on Saturday.

By Saturday a warming trend returns with the day staying dry. Sunshine will bring highs back into the upper 70's and low 80's across the Midlands. Saturday night will be mostly clear with low temperatures in the mid 50's.
