ORONO -- Maine field hockey has had a rough stretch of games over the last several weeks, but the team remains confident as they enter the later portion of their season.
The Black Bears are currently on a six game losing streak dating back to September 14th, with their most recent loss coming at the hands of the rival UNH Wildcats last week.
Despite the current slump, both coaches and players are taking away the positives as they look to get back on track.
"Those games have been close and we feel that we have been continuing to compete hard," said head coach Josette Babineau. "There has been really good growth from a lot of our players this season, our first-year players especially."
