The Steelers left Thursday Night Football with a loss in a surprise 33-31 upset by the Cincinnati Bengals. However, head coach Mike Tomlin provided one positive update after the game.
While going through his usual postgame injury report in his opening press conference statement, Tomlin said there were no “real injuries to speak of” for the Steelers in the loss. As always, he pointed to some general bumps and bruises, but didn’t provide any specifics.
Several defenders, including Darius Slay and Keeanu Benton, missed some time during the game, but nothing appears to be long term.
That’s good new for Pittsburgh given the game occurred on a short week. But as a result, the team now has a mini bye week between Thursday night’s game and the team’s next matchup on Oct. 26 to gain some more re
