Mumbai: The BSE Sensex jumped 152 points to 83,619.66 in early trade on October 17, 2025, Friday. The NSE Nifty 31.65 points to 25,616.95.

Wipro shares recorded heavy selling in early trading today. The stock fell more than 4% to around Rs 242. The reason behind this is the company’s quarterly results. The company reported stable performance in Q2. Consolidated profit increased 1.2% year-on-year to Rs 3,246.2 crore, compared to Rs 3,208.8 crore in the previous quarter. Revenue increased 1.8% to Rs 22,697.3 crore.
