A heartwarming video of a mother elephant rescuing her stranded calf has gone viral on social media.
The short clip of the elephants was posted on X by Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan.
“That mother calf duo. Nobody should leave behind,” read the caption of the post.
The video shows the baby elephant struggling to get onto the main road from a slope. The calf appears frightened and helpless as it tries repeatedly to stand.
Within moments, its mother rushes to its side, joined by another elephant from the herd. Using their trunks and bodies, the two adults gently push the calf to help it regain balance and get safely onto the road.
