LOGAN - A resource center has been getting more students at Utah State University to come in and get essentials.
Student Nutrition Access Center (SNAC) first started in 2010 in a trailer, it has grown since then. SNAC now has a space in the Taggert Student Center at USU with shelves filled with donated food.
“SNAC is just a food pantry here on campus, the free grocery store. We're open to students, faculty and staff to come in. Anybody with an animal can come in once a week and get free food,” said Kaylie Meccariello, student director for SNAC.
SNAC is filled with canned goods, ramen, different beans, oatmeal, coffee pods and they also have fresh produce. They have now started to offer students eggs, milk, and cheese.
