DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - As severe to extreme drought conditions expand across Central Illinois, beneficial rain is on the way this weekend.
While it won't be enough to break the drought, it'll definitely help low lake levels and give our yards a much-needed drink of water!
Ahead of the rain, clouds will be on the increase today with highs around 80°.
A few showers are possible by daybreak Saturday with showers and storms likely during the day and Saturday night. Some of the storms could become strong to severe.
It'll be breezy and warm Saturday and windy and much cooler Sunday with showers, especially in the morning. Highs Sunday will only be in the low-60s.
