Developers have said they are hoping to build over 300 more homes than originally planned for a site north of Cherry Hinton. Representatives of Bellway Latimer LLP updated councillors from Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council on the project at a briefing on Wednesday (October 15).

They said they would likely reach the overall limit for the number of homes that could be built at the site in the next phase, before they had used all the land available. Outline plans were approved in 2020 for a maximum of 1,200 homes to be built at the north Cherry Hinton development.
