Rob Edwards admits he still sees Tommy Conway’s best position as an out and out striker, as he explained in more detail why his role has slightly changed of late.

While Middlesbrough change a lot in-game which means Conway’s exact role has been so interchangeable, he’s ultimately started a lot of games of late playing in one of the deeper forward roles just off the main striker.

The reason for that is largely because of what Conway offers out of possession with his work rate, On top of that, Edwards is still trying to get Kaly Sene and David Strelec up to speed in terms of fitness and also tactical knowledge, having previously stated he believes that both of the summer signings can operate in deeper roles off the nine.
