STAMFORD, Vt. (WCAX) - A 20-year-old Massachusetts man is dead after crashing his motorcycle Thursday afternoon in Stamford.

It happened just after 3:45 on Route 100 near Robillard Road. Vermont State Police say Conner Caron of North Adams was thrown from his motorcycle after hitting a car that was entering the road from a side street.

Caron was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other car had no injuries.

Police say they believe speed was a factor in the crash, but the investigation is still ongoing.
