CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge has retained an employment lawyer - and it’s the same one representing former Cincinnati fire chief Michael Washington in his wrongful termination lawsuit against the city and City Manager Sheryl Long.

“We have been retained as of late yesterday. That’s the only thing I can say right now,” Steve Imm with the Finney Law Firm tells FOX19 NOW.

FOX19 NOW reached out to a city spokeswoman for comment. We will update this story when we hear back.

The Finney Law Firm and Imm have won a series of favorable decisions in the former fire chief’s lawsuit since Long abruptly fired him in March 2023.

Imm also successfully represented the now-former Middletown police chief, David Birk, when that city abruptly put him on leave in December 20
