A succession of injuries helped short-circuit Treylon Burks’ career with the Titans.
The Washington Commanders’ injury problems, meanwhile, have given the wide receiver a second chance after Tennessee waived him from injured reserve earlier this month.
The Commanders on Friday announced they had signed Burks, a first-round Titans draft pick in 2022, to the team’s practice squad. In order to make room for Burks, Washington cut wide receiver Tay Martin, whose first NFL reception — a touchdown catch — came with the Titans in 2024.
Washington is in need of help at wide receiver following a string of injuries at the position.
