POCATELLO, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Pocatello man was arrested in connection with bomb threats that prompted an evacuation at the Idaho State Capitol complex in Boise, police said in a news release .
Pocatello police received a report Oct. 8 about threatening phone calls to a local property management company. About 20 minutes later, staff at the capitol building reported similar calls from the same number, including a claim that a bomb was in the building. The building was evacuated. Two additional voicemails from that number also contained threatening language, police said.
Officers later located the man and placed him in protective custody. After detectives compared his voice to recordings of the Capitol calls, they linked him to the threats and arrested him days later. He was booked i
