POCATELLO, Idaho — Police have taken a Pocatello man into custody following alleged threats directed at Idaho's Capitol building, as well as in Pocatello earlier this month.

The Pocatello Police Department stated it received a call around 10:14 a.m. on Oct. 8, 2025, regarding a 58-year-old man who had placed several threatening calls to workers at a local property management firm. He reportedly made violent threats during these calls, stating he would “blow them up.”

About 20 minutes later, around 10:35 a.m., staff members at the Idaho Capitol complex in Boise also received threatening calls from the same telephone number.
