CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Folks can expect a wet and breezy day Sunday as heavy rain and high winds move into the Tri-State, making it a First Alert Weather Day.

The rain will start overnight and continue to spread throughout Cincinnati. The heaviest rain will take place in the morning as winds pick up to 35 to 40 mph, according to the FOX19 NOW Weather Team.

There is also a chance for scattered showers and storm in the afternoon and into the evening, however, the weather team says they will not be as impactful as the morning rounds.

Temperatures will be cooler Sunday, which will continue into Monday morning.

Monday’s temperatures will start in the 40s and rise to the low to mid 60s with clear skies.
