The United Way’s 2025 campaign continues to move along and to date has raised $695,705 or 46 per cent of its $1.5-million goal.

“We have been off to a great start, however, the campaign is now starting to lag a bit behind last year’s pace,” said Mike Edgar, the campaign’s volunteer chairperson. “We will be watching this very closely in the weeks to come.”

United Way funds 28 local programs aimed at helping individuals and families exit or avoid the cycle of poverty, helping kids at risk succeed in school and make healthy life choices, supporting those living with addiction and mental health issues, and helping seniors live independently. Last year, funded programs directly affected 20,105 people in Lambton County, of which 6,930 were children.
