Former Blue Jays catcher Gregg Zaun has landed a coaching gig in British Columbia, eight years after he was fired from Sportsnet for inappropriate behaviour towards women in the workplace.

The Kelowna Falcons announced Wednesday that Zaun will be their new head coach, with a post to Instagram advertising a local meet-and-greet with the former big leaguer . The team is a member of the West Coast League and is made up of teams in British Columbia, Alberta, Washington and Oregon that are filled with college athletes playing in the summer.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me, in a city I’ve come to really love,” Zaun told Kelowna’s Capital News . “I can promise the people of Kelowna that it won’t be boring at our games.”
