BOISE, Idaho (KPTV) – A flight from Portland to Dallas, Texas was diverted to Boise early on Tuesday morning after a passenger allegedly assaulted two airline employees, police said.
Boise police said officers were told around 1:30 a.m. that an Alaska Airlines flight was making an emergency landing at Boise Airport after a disturbance on board.
Investigators said the passenger, identified as Tracy Barkhimer, 61, of White Salmon, Washington, was acting erratically and struck two crew members who tried to calm her down. The flight crew detained Barkhimer before the plane diverted to Boise.
After landing, the two employees signed affidavits for citizen’s arrest, and officers took Barkhimer into custody. She was booked into the Ada County Jail on two charges of battery.
