Matt Ludwig receives a lot of attention, and rightfully so as one of the highest-rated prospects the state of Montana has ever had.

But Billings West is the Eastern AA champion this season not just because of him. The Golden Bears have a long list of playmakers that have helped them to a 7-1 record with one game to play in the regular season.

Their latest victory came by 42-14 decision Thursday evening against Bozeman High at Van Winkle Stadium.
