BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The Beta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. at Southern University and A&M College has been placed under a cease-and-desist order as the university investigates allegations of hazing.
University officials said the investigation is being conducted in accordance with Southern’s policies and procedures. The cease-and-desist order temporarily halts all chapter activities while the matter is reviewed.
Members are prohibited from wearing paraphernalia on campus during the suspension, which includes all clothing, bags, jewelry, and key chains. They also can't host any on or off-campus events.
