Black Phone 2 's updated opening weekend projections have arrived as it hits theaters. The Blumhouse horror movie, which stars Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw opposite Ethan Hawke as The Grabber , is a sequel to 2022's The Black Phone . The original was a smash success, grossing $161.4 million against a reported $16 million budget.

Per Deadline , Black Phone 2 took in $2.6 million during its Thursday night previews in domestic theaters. The movie is now projected to gross a 3-day domestic total between $20 and $30 million by the end of its opening weekend .
