Taiwanese carrier Eva Air, one of the country's three largest airlines, has sparked public outrage after asking a deceased employee to submit paperwork for a sick leave application. The airline issued an apology following widespread criticism. In response to the incident and amid questions surrounding the circumstances of the employee's death, labor inspectors in Taoyuan, alongside Eva Air, have launched an investigation to trace the sequence of events that led to the unfortunate and embarrassing incident.
