The Niagara Falls Marathon returns Oct. 26, meaning drivers will have to deal with some road closures along the Niagara Parkway that day.
The parkway will serve as a key route for more than 4,000 participants, with the marathon’s start and finish lines located at Upper Rapids Boulevard and Rapidsview Park.
There will be a full road closure of the Niagara Parkway from Miller’s Creek Bridge at Cairns Crescent Road in Fort Erie to Upper Rapids Boulevard in Niagara Falls beginning at 5 a.m., with the road being reopened as participants pass by each adjoining intersection.
Access to local residences will be provided with the assistance of Niagara Parks Police and race marshals.
