Tefari Bailey believes his drive and discipline comes from his early days training to get into the NBA.

“Basketball was my whole life. I used to wake up at 5 a.m., head straight to LA Fitness and train before class.”

Bailey got onto Brock University’s basketball team while studying kinesiology. When he didn’t make the team for a second year, he made a pivot.

That led to him receiving $500,000 from CBC’s “Dragons’ Den” entrepreneurial reality TV show in 2022.

Bailey is now working out of the United Nations building in New York as he takes part in a tech mentorship program.

After his second year at the St. Catharines university, Bailey stayed in the city for the summer instead of heading home to Toronto. That summer became a crash course on entrepreneurism thanks to his roommates. While
