You've probably heard of Michelin Stars — but how about Michelin Keys?

Michelin Keys were unveiled in 2024 as a new ranking system geared toward fine lodging. Just like the star system for restaurants, the Michelin Guide has three tiers — one, two and three keys. The more keys, the higher the ranking of the hotel.

The prestigious guide released its updated roundup of hotels that earned a key this month — there were 16 Three-Key hotels across the entire United States. Most were in California and New York.

Although none of the Three-Key hotels were in New England, there were plenty here honored with one and even two keys.
