Two educators at Claxton Elementary School have been arrested after investigators say video footage showed a teacher hitting and grabbing children in her classroom.
What’s Happening: The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says 47-year-old Tanesha E. Herrington of Claxton has been charged with eight counts of Cruelty to Children in the First Degree. Her classroom assistant, 37-year-old Courtney Anne Dutton of Glennville, faces one count of Failure to Report Child Abuse.
The arrests came after Claxton Police received an anonymous tip about Herrington’s actions in her Pre-K classroom.
